Monument Valley

It has always been difficult for me to capture photographs at Monument Valley. The difficulty comes not from the actual beauty of the place, but the desire to capture the FEELING when I'm there. It's being able to express the ancestry and the power and the significance of such an sacred place.

So on my most recent visit I let go of expectations and decided to let the feelings I have come out in black and white. And yes, I came along the northern approach on Highway 163 - you've seen it before.
